Pros

Culture is curated to perfection. nobody will criticize, nobody will rock the boat. Everybody speaks about change but don't dare to bring change. Perfect place for individuals who look for an easy lifer job.

Cons

Upper management is run by a security council which has more say and weight than any other department. Company lacks of a product strategy, is far behind with its cloud strategy, has very weak technology delivery team and a finance team which avoids analytics.

Pros

HealthEquity states that it prides itself on treating clients and employees with excellent “purple” service. The first sign this is not the case is evidenced by the amount of clients we’ve lost and the amount of employees we’ve lost. For those of us left, our workload has become unmanageable with the only bright spot being they release small bonuses from time to time hoping we stick it out.

Cons

HealthEquity has been a mess ever since the WageWorks acquisition. Acquisitions always have normal growing pains as systems are combined but here the Exec team doesn’t fully and thoroughly vet out each project’s potential impacts and the clients and employees pay the price for their ill planning. There have been so many “accidental” consequences, that I have lost count with the employee’s left holding the bag on trying to smooth things over with the clients. Clients are becoming fed up and so are employees. The straw that’s breaking the camel’s back is next. The adage holds true that you learn the real metal of people and a company when doing the right thing is the hardest but it doesn’t make it any less “right” and each person/entity cannot assume “their views/beliefs” are more right than those of others. HealthEquity Exec’s stating all employees should “want a jab if you truly cared about your fellow man” - is not right. A presidential administration blackmailing companies with the threat “to pull federal contracts” - is not right. HealthEquity not fighting back against such intrusion into the workplace and instead using the excuse “it’s not our choice” when the Exec team has made it quite clear they believe in such measures - is not right. Advise to the Exec team: HealthEquity, if you are truly purple, I encourage you to uphold our Constitutional and personal rights versus your own religious and political views. Advise to potential candidates: Beware, on top of the mess this company continues to create with their acquisition projects, this company also pushes their own religious and political agenda over the Constitutional rights of its employees.

Thank you for your candid review of HealthEquity. There's a lot going on, and lofty goals that we're working to achieve. If your stress levels ever get to an unhealthy level, please take advantage of resources such as conversations with your leader, the People Team, and possible involvement in wellness activities to name a few. We appreciate your feedback about the vaccine mandate at HealthEquity. The decision to mandate vaccinations was made as a result of President Biden's Executive Order for federal contractors to extend stringent vaccination requirements to the many employers, including HealthEquity, that do business with government agencies. Biden's Safety Task Force provided guidance that organizations that do business with the Federal government, like HealthEquity, will have to collect proof of COVID-19 vaccination from all team members, whether on-site, remote, or hybrid. Only team members who meet narrow medical or religious-based exemptions are excluded. HealthEquity will continue to comply with any team member health and safety requirements and recommendations and we will provide our teammates with ongoing updates as we hear more.

Pros

Purple Culture: Many of the employees believe they can improve the service provided to the customer. Very proactive LGBT community. Wellness program is first rate.

Cons

Prior to be publically traded (HQY), this company was very innovative. Since becoming a public company, they have become mired in red tape. The mobile app is a great example of the failure. I have witnessed two highly qualified individuals hired for the product team (Dir. of Investment services position) to have their position dissolved in less than six months. Both individuals were subjected to what I'd define as abussive treatment to include numerous sessions were they were publically berated by thier supervisor I have decided to look else where based on what I saw. Very unprofessional.
