Good team, company only cares about money
Pros
I have an awesome team; we all really care about our patients. CEU360 is a pretty good resource. Compliance department is very on top of things, responded quickly to concern about unethical practice.
Cons
Company pretty transparently only cares about money, not actual patient care. Missing resources necessary for therapists this day and age - company email, access to journal articles (how are we supposed to keep on top of evidence based practice? How are we supposed to communicate information to everybody in the department? Currently, DOR will tell 1-5 therapists something, and tell them to "pass it on to the other therapists," get upset when we don't manage to pass it on to the ~20 therapists in department) No holidays, only get about 22 days of vacation + sick days per year Senior management of company (with fake niceness) harassed me over the phone for not having a high enough caseload - apparently, we weren't picking up enough Med Bs, Med As. Could not seem to make them understand that we only pick up people that need Speech. Suggested that I pick up anybody with weight loss or confusion (????). No possibility of raise (senior management admitted as much). Productivity expectations are not too bad (in the 80s), but there is no opportunity to do anything that could help patients besides 1:1 treatment (for example, working with rec therapy to actually do something to help all long-term patients in the building instead of just picking them up for "confusion")
