Pros
There are some amazing people who really care. Despite eveyrthing they are trying their best. But i'm worried its just enabling HPH unethical behavior. Pay is high but at what cost?
Cons
Since Health pro Heritage bought the company I work for they have taken all benefits and raise the cost of insurance 2x. They have taken 401k matching away. They have taken tenure raises away from BCBAs and yearly raises away from RBTS. THey have fired people who were with the company YEARS and amazing to insert themselves in a field they know nothing baout. They have taken away paid holidays from salary staff and holidays as a whole and done some of the most unethical things I have ever seen. The company has kids not receiving services/not meeting their approved hours, but still onboarding more clients. We've got BCBAs with over 20 kids on their caseload, STILL ADDING MORE CLIENTS. The company has BCBAs dating RBTs, RBTs with drugs on the floor, RBTs begging for hours and RBTS overloaded with hours. RBTs falling asleep on the floor with the client multiple times for months. A lot of the BCBAs really care and they are trying so hard to give their clients the best they can. But HPH doesn't care about anything but money. BCBAs are overloaded and not meeting supervision requirements due to having 20+ kids on our caseloads. They are being told to / required to lie about recommended hours for clients to fit what company can supply NOT to actually recommend what these kids need.. Brand new BCBAS are thrown into supervisory positions and large caseloads because there's no staff left at this point without a care for the BCBA or the staff they are over. RBTS are realizing they aren't getting paid for all their hours and having to reach out to HPH to get pair the time they actually worked MONTHS after. We are told there's not point in going to HR because HPH doesn't listen to us/ HR. Most of the staff care, they really do but we are being burned out and used by HPH to make as much money as possible. They don't provide sick days or personal days. You earn PTO based on your hours worked, PTO must be used for any time off you need. Even BCBAs who have met their billables may only leave the clinic with use of PTO. If you get COVID or sick, because kids aren't being sent home unless they have a fever or throw up twice (maybe) ,to make more money, you have to use your PTO to be out. Literally the clinics are filled with sick kids they refuse to send home, or tell the parent they are even sick. You've got upper management leaving their jobs to overloaded BCBAs' without a care in the world. Everyone is leaving, they can't keep staff. Its extrememly unethical the amount of clients per BCBA that are left at the company. But again its about money not being ethical. This was an amazing company with amazing staff who were making a real difference before being bought out and then left to drown with weights on our ankles so that a larger company can make a buck. Healthpro Heritage you make ABA look bad and you should be ashamed.
