Pros

In the years I've worked at HT, I have been promoted within my department multiple times. So growth is definitely possible if you have the right attitude and strong work ethic. The management team in DHP value that above everything else! They are also willing to mentor and teach if you are willing to learn and are very understanding in terms of personal life.

Cons

It is a stressful and fast-paced environment where you will be asked to do expedited activities due to hospital demand. At the end of the day, we are working for the hospitals and patients will always be prioritized. There is a high turn-over rate because of this. It is not the kind of office job where you aren't monitored - there are monthly goals and quotas that need to be met. This could be part of the cause for the low morale in the staff as well.

Pros

Good pay and some staff incentives. Good benefits package, nice office and close to the city centre. There are some amazing managers and staff members in specific teams at HTE, it has been a pleasure to work alongside them.

Cons

When you first start at HTE, you are given the dream that you are a part of a great progressive organisation and that everyone is here to support you and want to see you succeed. This is sadly not true in certain teams. Management will discuss your private discussions with members of staff that are not management and basically talk about you behind your back. They will give you task with 0 instruction and say your end result was rubbish. HTE will get rid of people who may be under performing without really giving them much training or opportunity to improve. Many managers have the attitude of "well I can do it, why can't you?!" (doesn't help with pushing people managers that are reading this) If you're off sick for a genuine reason, they will make decisions to come to your home to talk to you about work. It is a very cliquey environment. If your face does not fit, you won't last very long there. This is inclusive of how members of staff treat new starters too, not just management. Last but not least, there is a strong bullying culture that has forced a lot of talented people to leave the business, or be forced out. they don't understand nor care that they are meddling with peoples lives, if you're not management, you're disposable. Good luck!

Pros

Great health benefits. Get free food a lot. Some of the coworkers are fun to work with. Movement within the company is easy because people always quit so there’s always an opening for you to try out other departments. You also don’t have to worry about getting fired unless you constantly commit major offenses. People quit so often that they can’t really afford to fire anyone, so good job security.

Cons

Way too much work for the amount of money they pay, management has absolutely no idea what’s going on, communication is the absolute worst, very little recognition even if you go above and beyond managers won’t even give you as little as a pat on the back. They ask for feedback on ways to improve but then make excuses as to why things are the way they are and why they won’t change. Turnover is insane which leaves other people taking on extra work until new people are hired and trained which usually takes months. Management seems to be so far in the clouds that they have no idea what people are really doing everyday. Oh and don’t expect people to communicate with you about anything.
