Great salary for nursing

Pros

Plenty of nursing work at a better hourly rate than the nurses that work for the hospitals full-time.

Cons

HCA hospitals are understaffed and lack many resources/teams much of the time. Stranger to your co-workers unless you stay on contract for long periods of time. Not high acuity ICU units, so if your looking for high acuity experience you really won't get it working as a contract nurse.

Poor corporate culture

Pros

Technically it is a job. If there were pros worth listing, I guess I would list them here

Cons

Constant turnover, you will be viewed as replaceable. I heard upper management complain about employees saying "You get what you pay for". So know that you will not get paid well. You'll waste most of your time trying to appease key performance indicator corporate goals that don't actually accomplish anything. If a supply chain on the other side of the country had a specific problem with their process, you'll have to do extra work to implement the solution to that problem whether you had an issue or not, whether it applies to your healthcare market or not, whether it makes sense to or not, whether it actually gets in the way of providing better service at a lower cost of the company or not. Everyone here is just trying to appease the person above them on the ladder, no one actually cares about the work, at least none of the people calling the shots.

However, the management structure felt very waterlogged and a lot of people seemed to not do much work
