Pros

The company is going thru a resturcting phase and doing a overhaul in the direction the company wants to go in terms of growing "To be the pre-eminent health plan by 2020", compensation is decent, training is good, management seems engaged with new hires depending for what department your working in.

Cons

The reason why I say please rethink is because the company is not flexible with staff that have family obligations, and are quick to terminate any staff on site with out any mediation, perfect place to work if you have now kids/family obligations. Supposed company cultures contradicts what is actually practiced. During new hire training I'm a single parent that had child care issues arise, after 2 weeks of employment was terminated without any form of mediation. since my issue was very short term that I needed a week to resolve.

Pros

The company invests in technology and spends lots on changing corporate culture. The IT office space in NYC is nice. The benefits are good.

Cons

Promotion is not based on merit. There is a distance between what is practiced and what is preached. The IT infrastructure is a mess. It will not be able to sustain the growth it hopes for.
