Pros
The entrepreneurial spirit at this company is alive and well. It is a relatively new company with a young team, but everyone on the team is hungry to learn more. There is never ridicule for asking questions, and always encouragement to think outside the box. There is a lot of freedom given to employees to seek out the best ways to find data, most efficient ways to report results, and best methods of communication. It is this freedom and collaboration that gives the best results to our clients. Being a young hire recently out of college, I have found that there are many more opportunities for learning in a small entrepreneurial company. My role crosses into many different sectors of the company- from operations, to sales, to marketing. I have learned far more working for a start-up company than I ever have or will at a large organization. It is encouraging to watch the company grow and add clients at a very rapid pace. It is important to note that the career path is clearly outlined and defined at Healthfuse. There is no ambiguity in regards to promotions, pay increases, bonus's, etc. It is all clearly laid out at point of hire, along with expectations to reach the next level. When seeking feedback to ensure one is on the path to reaching the next level, it is given in a constructive and respectful manner. This feedback is not just "what can I do to better the company", but with the intention of "what I can do to better myself". Finally, the work-life balance offered at Healthfuse is second to none in comparison to other consulting firms. Management does not believe in working the team to the bone. They firmly believe it creates resentment and an unhealthy outlook. They believe in a work-hard, play-hard mentality. We work hard during the hours of work, but we are able to enjoy a night out for ping pong as a team, or beer at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon.
Cons
I do not believe there are many cons in working for Healthfuse. This position has been a great fit for me and I am very satisfied with the work I am doing and eager to learn and take on more.
