Pros

Great people & decent office space

Cons

Pay is below average for most roles and the "offsets/fringe benefits," like a set schedule & health benefits, are diminishing. Little to no professional development offered and basically no opportunities to grow. HR team in CLT is not active.

Horrible politics, toxic culture & high turnover

Pros

You will meet genuinely talented people... before they leave when they see this place is all about politics and sucking up to leadership.

Cons

Leadership turns a blind eye to everything. They only care when they make money. They know politics abound there and don’t do anything about it. Oh and the culture is toxic.

Pros

Hearst is a very big company with a lot of great products. They don't have any debt and job security is strong.

Cons

It depends on which station you work for. Sometimes the people they appoint to leadership have no business leading anything.
