"Extremely high turn over rate, hypocritical and lazy management, you will be expected to work multiple positions that are not in your job description while only getting paid for the job you were hired for, unavoidable overtime due to poor staffing, rules that are supposed to apply to everyone only seem to be enforced selectively, lazy nurses and aides that sit on their phones, stuffing their faces and refuse to do their jobs and same with the business office, only they’re not doing it out in the open and have their offices to hide in, and that’s if they’re not constantly on vacation." Lack of leadership, understaffed, poor patient care, poor scheduling, and does not value staff.

Pros

The Hearth Communities (buildings) are lovely and well maintained. Forging relationships with the residents that live at Hearth Communities is the best part about the Company.

Cons

The environment is highly unprofessional and high-school like. Management is more focused on numbers and occupancy and less on creating a work environment that drives teamwork and camaraderie. The lack of professionalism on every level (at least in one CT community) was pervasive and made the work environment less than tolerable. Management was so out of touch that they did not realize that the very high amount of turn over was based on the horrific management, or lack thereof.
