Pros

I can't speak for other groups, but my manager is very devoted to making sure that employees are happy and have the tools they need to do the job. My manager is very good about giving praise and pushing it upwards.

Cons

After close to a year, I haven't seen any yet. It bothers me that the break rooms are stocked with refreshments, but there are no recycling bins available. I know this is a ridiculous complaint.

Pros

Great learning experience. Great tuition reimbursement policy. Really great coworkers, they are all very intelligent and hardworking. Flexible schedule as long as you attempt to put in your 40 hours in and don't make a habbit of missing work.

Cons

Direct supervisor has little to do with wage increases. No appreciation for personal sacrifices. No room for advancement at this location. Corporate makes decisions and implements policies without including the individual locations. They act as if your skills and knowledge of your job are useless. They expect you to work extremely hard on poorly planned projects that are geared towards eliminating your position. Side note: The environment is very bad for your car's paint.

Pros

Its a European company that promotes good work life balance. As far as I know they hedge their bets regards currencies well. They have a good benefits package that includes a defined benefit pension plan. They give opportunities to expand horizons and experience internationally. I particularly have my sights on Asia Pacific - but this is a fairly competitive region. They used to offer expatriate packages but now appear to be avoiding it. Like any large company they do give opportunity to switch to other departments but it is not easy either and they try to retain people in engineering even if they are not interested and it is not their forte.

Cons

Not enough chance given to people who are interested in engineering, who have gotten experience in other areas, to move out.
