Big companies treat you like a person without real life.

General rule in the company is to hire great talent from developing countries but on a level lower than what they deserve. They specifically target such countries because they know those folks want to move to Europe region for better quality of life. Upper mid level management is totally incompetent and insecure. They'd rather not promote anyone and keep the positions of Staff and EM open. Example, in food alliance the positions have been open since 2-3 years. A lot of good engineers who used to take responsibility and accountability just quit the organisation after getting frustrated and waiting for promotion. There are more horror stories of upper management, I would refrain from making this review personal. But definitely these folks are not cut out for leading anyone. For compensation, HR dept. negotiates on giving around 4K Euros to an agency that does the relocation for you instead of giving it to you directly. The relocation agency is useless as hell. Consider that money down the drain as for apartment search in Berlin, you will be left on your own. There's so much more that can be said, my advice, pass the offer even if you receive it, or use it to negotiate in another company.
