I love my job as a Family Service Worker at Help at Home. I like transporting kiddos to their bio parents and providing supervision for them. I love my kiddos and enjoy watching most of the parents grow as far as really interacting with their kids and providing a safe and healthy environment for them. I have a wonderful supervisor who always goes above and beyond to answer any questions that we may have. She is always fair and understanding and I feel very blessed to have had her for a boss for approx a year now. When we found out that our part of Help at Home was being taking over by the Center for Youth and Family Solutions, I was devastated, but now I am going to try and see if I can transfer to the new company and keep alot of my families that I have worked with for approx a year.

Cons

Hearing from the foster and bio parents that we were being ousted out of our jobs by the people the new company was bringing in. Im hoping they change their minds and let me stay with at least some of my families!!

Willing to work with me to get more clients so hard so far.

Cons

Won’t get more clients for me as I am a deaf worker and they can’t deal with deaf worker. I can read and write paper. I am wanting to make more income to live on.
