Pros

Great benefits, nice working facilities, easy to transfer between dealerships. Employee gets free medical insurance, life insurance and after 3 years, glass & dental

Cons

Before 2013 it was a great atmosphere, most employees very happy. Very proud to say I work for Hendrick. Mr. Hendrick wants servant leadership, which is fantastic BUT management in my store do not follow it. Most have never been on halo!!! Major salary cuts to everyone. Most don't feel valued or appreciated. We are losing fantastic employees because of pay plan cuts. Some have been here over 20 years that have left or planning on leaving soon. I have been here 10 years

More and more work, less and less pay

Pros

The insurance and benefits are good, facilities are nice

Cons

I have been here for 4 years and made less money each year even after being "promoted." The pay plans are designed to punish instead of reward, no one in the dealership is happy, negativity is rampant and the bosses upstairs are getting all of the money. They tried to introduce a new pay plan in the last year that would pay "more money" and be easier and the whole sales floor rejected it because they all made less. They tout that we are one of the top dealerships in the country, yet we get paid like we are 80th. At events around the country,we hear other salesmen make way more than we do with a lot less stress. The job used to be fun but now no one is having fun. Every day there are more rules, more pay restrictions, and more pressure from upper management. They act like they can't understand why sales are down, morale is down, finance is wanting to quit... pay us more, appreciate us more, make it more fun and then you'll get the results you want. Right now if you get one bad survey, your month is over, bonuses gone. The pay plan is even set up so that it occasionally makes sense to NOT sell a car at month end. The whole sales floor and finance are constantly looking for ways to get out.

Pros

Great people, great benefits, great products

Cons

Used to be very a "family" like atmosphere no matter what Hendrick facility you went to...company grew very quickly over last few years and now being run with corporate mentality...turnover has increased significantly and faces change too often to even get to know someone...
