Pros

Hendrick is an outstanding faith-based, private hospital. This allows the hospital to have complete oversight over the best way to deliver healthcare and serve our community. Hendrick fosters a collaborative environment for both employees and the community and it has an outstanding reputation for putting patients first. The people who are employed are some of the brightest minds I know who strive to create a system that delivers excellent healthcare consistent with the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. It is a blessing to work here.

Cons

Abilene is a great mid-size community, but it does not have all of the amenities (or headaches) that a large metropolitan area may have.

Pros

There is a real feeling of ownership among the employees, they are courteous, and kind, and are always looking for ways to improve patient and staff satisfaction.

Cons

Leadership will often move someone in to a position who has experience without the degree to back it up thus not having to pay what the job is actually worth in the real market, and limiting those employees looking to grow with in the organization.
