Pros

Fun, authentic heritage brand with inspiring product and distinct fashion point of view. Great incentives for store associates who deliver top sales. Not a lot of structure and arbitrary formal procedures. You can be more entrepreneurial in your approach to the store.

Cons

Absolutely no support from Home Office. Corporate culture is disorganized and bullying. Time off is a benefit to working here, but you get a guilt trip if you ever try to take it. Zero- work life balance. Zero ethics. Managers are barked at to focus on this and not that, to deliver impossible results with no payroll, product replenishment and endless lists of tasks. No forethought by corporate with regard to the Operations Calendar. Finance is a joke - sales plans could be written by blindfolded second graders and be better. Favoritism abounds. If the right exec likes you, you get a bonus exception, if not, you get an unrealistic target and belittled when you fail to hit it. The company needs to grow up and act like a real brand if it wants to be treated like one and compete.

Pros

There is opportunity to make a lot of money and it's nice to have a flexible schedule. The benefits for full time employees are also great. The staff from corporate offices were very friendly and warm though.

Cons

There is no opportunity for growth unless you constantly hound them or become best friends with everyone in upper management. None of the managers even spoke about growth in reviews and I have never praised for any of the work I do. If i achieved a goal or even went above and beyond for a client it was never acknowledged. The only time managers spoke to me were if it was a negative related thing (such as not making goals, or not knowing the correct promotion due to a lack of communication). Blatant favoritism from management and often not on the floor when needed. So many promotions and discounts to remember and no work/life balance either. Also staff members don't care about customer service, they just want to make their commission and move on as quickly as possible.

Pros

Good hourly pay for part timers Flexible schedules Great discounts for all stores in the Limited Brands family

Cons

HR will fabricate stories about lack of new positions There is no advancement regardless if you inquire constantly about positions in other departments. Managers have a difficult time recommending you for promotion. They rather tell you during review that you are doing well instead of telling upper management that you are an asset to the company. It is difficult to transition into full-time status from part time. The company rathers hire people from the outside than promote within. The company does not offer any benefits to part-time besides the discounts There is no incentives for employees to perform better on the job
