Pros
Fun, authentic heritage brand with inspiring product and distinct fashion point of view. Great incentives for store associates who deliver top sales. Not a lot of structure and arbitrary formal procedures. You can be more entrepreneurial in your approach to the store.
Cons
Absolutely no support from Home Office. Corporate culture is disorganized and bullying. Time off is a benefit to working here, but you get a guilt trip if you ever try to take it. Zero- work life balance. Zero ethics. Managers are barked at to focus on this and not that, to deliver impossible results with no payroll, product replenishment and endless lists of tasks. No forethought by corporate with regard to the Operations Calendar. Finance is a joke - sales plans could be written by blindfolded second graders and be better. Favoritism abounds. If the right exec likes you, you get a bonus exception, if not, you get an unrealistic target and belittled when you fail to hit it. The company needs to grow up and act like a real brand if it wants to be treated like one and compete.
