Pros

* Work can be interesting if you like data * Flex-time schedule * Health care benefits are pretty good * Having HFHS on a resume definitely is a plus * There is a lot of diversity * There are a lot of intelligent co-workers around you. Most have graduate or terminal degrees. * You self-manage yourself, meaning you get out what you put into your work.Deadlines are pretty flexible and most stakeholders are understanding * You are allocated some time each week for personal projects, if you want to go that route * Management is supportive of most initiatives that you might be interested in pursuing and will try to get you involved in work with other sections of the company, where possible

Cons

* Management: Super nice, but somewhat lacking capability. At least, that was the experience in my department. * Management: Will say anything to get you in the door, but then will hand off "subpar" work to you without too much guidance. * Management: Since everyone is overworked, it feels like you never see your direct manager (at least, that was my experience) or, if you do, you're on limited time since they have a ton of work to do, as well. * Raises: These are company-wide events and not based on merit. If you work super hard, great! You'll still say at the same pay level unless you apply for a * Promotions: I don't really know how they happen. It doesn't feel like they're necessarily based on performance so much as your time there and interest in getting one. Why pay more to an employee when they'll be doing the same work anyway? My experience at the headquarters (One Ford Place): * Most sections of the building have drab coloring * Commuting to and from OFP is a pain if you live north of the city * There's really no restaurants or anything close to the building. * Not that it matters, because you only get 30 minutes for lunch * The overall feel of the building doesn't inspire confidence. It feels like the company is going broke, despite building a new cancer center and teaming up with the Pistons. Workers are definitely afterthoughts here.

Pros

Worked for HFHS for more than 14 years. The other employees made me love my job.

Cons

I was fired without warning AFTER MY DAUGHTER ATTEMPTED SUICIDE AND WAS COMMITTED. Who does this?! Just absolutely heartless. Management is always on a psycho power trip. They keep cutting benefits. Would probably do better at McDonald's.

Pros

Great benefits, CNA to patient ratio is very fair compared to other places I’ve worked. Great work environment. My time there was wonderful. I learned a lot there.

Cons

Employee parking can be a challenge
