- Work/life balance is nonexistent. If you have any other commitments in your life - to family, children, or significant other - you will be seen as a negative. Even if you work 60 hours, you'll be questioned for not answering a Slack at 3 AM on a Saturday, even if you are on PTO (true story).
- Zero strategy other than "win" and "be the best." Leadership preaches teamwork but only care about their own success. They demand loyalty but give none. Good luck expecting a compensation or equity discussion.
- Use and abuse all employees. Manic work environment. Kissing up to leadership is the only way to survive. Smart people leave on their own, competent employees get canned for voicing opinions. They are happy to take your ideas and say goodbye.
- Product leadership is going in the wrong direction entirely. Every launch goes poorly and is judged by social likes. Product has been completely leapfrogged by big competitors. While the business looks like it is going in the right direction, but it's fraying everywhere.
- Unethical leadership. Actively lie to employees and customers. Equity package is built on false assumptions and rigged against you. No HR and no compliance in place. Check your paycheck. Document everything.
