Pros

Compensation is Fair Set Your Own Appointments Everyone is Nice Some Products Have Value Benefits are Alright Laptop & Mobile Internet Provided

Cons

Expense Stypend Dosent Cover Everything Print Product is Pushed Hard High Pressure Environment No Work Life Balance Large Amounts of Preperation Required It is a sales job so some this this comes with the territory. The company needs new sales (new money) and makes it felt. The problem is that new sales are crazy hard to come up with in this economy. Our products are not bad but they are not fantastic either.

Pros

The autonomy and management has been great! Great support from direct &area management. They will provide you the tools and training to become successful. Like any other sales job, its all on you to make the money you want. High Commission and fast payouts are great. Benefits and 401k and vacation days are great.

Cons

No direction and no identity for the company which makes it very difficult when introducing yourself to potential companies. There's no sales ladder to climb which demotivates those that are looking to advance within the company. The low base salary as well as low gas & cell allowance. When the price of gas is almost $4.00 per gallon and the gas & cell phone allowance has not changed in 4 yrs thats a problem. More and more reps will work from home and less in person if this is not bumped up to meet the economic conditions. With the emphasis on strokes (New Business) it has become a great challenge to aquire new business depending on the territory. Renewals will suffer as well as increase because reps are too worried about losing their job if they dont hit the new business objective. Overall Yellowbook was once a great company to work for but I'm not so sure about now. With no direction/identity/and no ladder to climb upwards it is all up the air for now.
