Pros

The best reason to work for yellowbook is the co. Benefits. Other than that there is nothing rewarding about this job unless you like driving around all day wasting your time and the businesses you call on.

Cons

It takes forever to get paid on accounts sold.

Pros

It has decent salary with good benefits. Direct managers are very technical themselves so they are very easy to work with....that does not mean the work is easy.

Cons

It has a typical structure of a large corporation. Very difficult to more up within the IT department.....easiest to move up is by switching to a different group with an opening.Base salary is not bad, but annual raise is hard to come by.

Pros

The initial interviews were good and the job seemed promising but when you were sent to training it was completely different. New hires should know that they are not really hired until they have completed the 3 week corporate training course. The corporate trainers are still evaluating the candidates - you are still in the interview process!

Cons

The corporate training is 3 weeks long. On the first day you are advised that you are still in the interview stage and must meet all the companies criteria during training to move forward and work as a Yellowbook Media Consultant. Training should be a place where candidates can ask questions, discuss issues and learn...it should not be a place where you feel your job is on the line. The corporate trainers have to much influence on whether a candidate succeeds or fails. Training should not be part of the interview or evaluation stage...it should just be training!
