the yellow page industry is really having a tough time of late. the search engines have had an impact so it is a much tougher sale than years ago this has lead to many new products so there is alot more to learn.

Pros

I have worked at Yellow Book USA for over a year now. They gave me a chance when other companies would not. It Is hard work, lots of appointments per week and some cold calling. What I love is that you get paid in relation to how hard you work. First year i am on track to make 82k and next year I feel that I could make over six figures for certain. For me it is a dream since my last sales job was commission only and I could only make 45k at the most. The benefits here are outstanding as well. The base salary is okay but at least there is a decent base to get you started but it does not take long to start making commission here. I hope to stay many years and grow with the company!

Cons

The products are changing everyday and it can be a challenge to keep up with the technology. You really have to get training (which they provide) for the internet products.

Pros

I made a very nice income and nice benefits as well.

Cons

Although Management Preaches about how family comes first, and sure, take off to see your son place in a sports game, that is not what they practice. Any time, I or someone in our office was asked for time off, we were told we probably couldn't take it because we didn't know if we'd have our quotas by then. We had at least 8 quotas to meet per year and were not allowed time off on the last month of a book, which meant another 4 times it was Extremely hard to schedule time off. Plus taking time off for surgery was frowned and commented on by management.
