Pros
Good entry-level position for an individual seeking a career as a LSW or LAC. Learned a lot about DBT groups and mental health field. Was able to network and connect with current specialists in the field.
Cons
As an MHA, you are basically the babysitter. Adolescents constantly needed supervision and you would be stuck sitting with them for 2-3 hours with no communication between clinicians. The job interview stated we would drive 2-3 times a week and one time we drove every single day and even had responsibility for adults. Didn't feel like a real job sometimes, but easiest job I had.
