Pros

Highgate is a forward-thinking organization that blends industry expertise with a truly entrepreneurial spirit. It’s a fast-paced, results-driven environment that continues to evolve and grow—making it an exciting place for those who thrive on change, growth and innovation. While it may not be for everyone, those energized by a dynamic, ever-changing landscape will find Highgate both challenging and rewarding. Leadership is focused on performance and positive "make your mark" impact, yet the culture fosters camaraderie and genuine care among colleagues—creating a rare balance between high expectations and a strong sense of community. Friendly competition is encouraged, calculated risks are embraced, and through it all, the supportive, family-like atmosphere remains one of Highgate’s defining qualities. I’ve been fortunate to be at the forefront of this growth for the past seven-plus years, continuing to make a meaningful contribution while building lasting friendships and connections along the way.

Cons

Continuous growth which is actually a good thing. buckle up and go forward.

Pros

Benefit options are okay, but nothing stellar. Still nice to have things like Healthcare and such with the job.

Cons

The decisions they make for their properties (or at least the one I work under) are completely off the mark for what the individual establishment needs, and it becomes a detriment to employees, guests, and the property itself. One begins to question if it's intentional sabotage or not. They cut budgets while enforcing stupid fees that only harm the hotel's reputation and service - for example, they enforce a $12 parking fee for a hotel that doesn't have any security, cameras, or additional service for its parking lot. On the flip side, they don't provide sufficient funds for a sufficient complimentary breakfast (I believe it's $3 per person when the average is closer to $5-$6), and they've even cut hours to the point Front Desk department employees must now do Breakfast Attendant, Houseman, and Laundry responsibilities, and I'm fairly certain the same can be said for other departments doing other responsibilities. This shatters employee morale, and with strict hour tracking combined with the chaos that is hotel occupancy and starting wages being state minimums, many employees wanna leave as early as one week into the job.
