Pros

Share some of the best reasons to work for highgate is that you know how a really bad company operates. Get paid on time.

Cons

Sneaky, will not disclose full truth of solvency of company. Blind side you in thinking you are with them, then will tell you to either take this position, or take your chances. Will lie to you in your face. Dishonest with customers, clients!! It's really a favoritism company. Their (Highgate) only concern is pulling the wool over their investors or who they are managing the asset for. All you need to do is research their turn over rate!! It's awful. No retention. That is proof enough.

Pros

Can't think of one, I'll say a holiday party wasn't that bad

Cons

This review is specifically for ROW NYC hotel, not sure if the rest of the company is the same, hope not. As a Housekeeping Manager they tell you at the interview that you may need to do long hours sometimes, what they don't tell you is that you have to work for 10-12 hours every single day, and I'm talking about 10-12 hours of fast paced hard work. On top of that, nobody appreciates it or thanks you for it. The management is a mess, and their mess results in extra work for you. Just in a last month, three of my colleagues quit, I was the forth one, I just could not take anymore of their bs. They were not happy, probably because in my absence the higher management will need to do some hands on word (finally) to catch up, but what I was really shocked about is the HR's unprofessional-ism. She kind of harassed me, telling me that I won't be able to find a job with any of Highgate Hotels (she'll probably blacklist me just because I didn't like it there), she told me that I will not have a career, she told me how she works 50 hrs a week, she also told me that I'm not for this industry (they said I was while I worked there) and so much more in such a high disrespectful tone. I was shocked because I know what HR stands for, I know that they're supposed to make sure that employees are treated right and provide support, not discourage, harass and be disrespectful, just for resigning from the job they don't like. Newsflash HR, there are thousands of companies in America, and according to Glassdoor Highgate is the worst. Perhaps I'm not the one that's in the "WRONG INDUSTRY".
