Off Shore QA is ridiculous

Pros

Pay is good. Upper management are engaged. Supportive teams.

Cons

The team they use for QA are off shore reps. Not only is the spoken language different so is the communication style in itself so you cannot judge if a rep is showing empathy based on culture HERE. Saying reps don’t thank the members when it’s clearly in the recorded call but you can’t do anything about it. NO MATTER HOW WRONG QA IS YOU ARE STUCK W THE SCORE which impacts your shift and your raise.

Pros

Highmark is very much like a big family. They give decent pto time and unless you're calling off all the time or there's a pattern, they don't bother you for the most part. They mean it when they say they want first call resolution so they don't mind if that take 5 minutes or 4 hours so the lack of time based pressure is nice.

Cons

Their raise system is awful. 3% across the board no matter how hard you work. They supposedly offer a 5% high performer raise but I've never seen anyone get it and neither 3 nor 5% is enough to keep up with inflation. It's also hard to move up because there are so many people and not enough roles.
