Pros

There is a twenty word minimum for this field, so all I can say that is good are the benefits.

Cons

There is a shortage of help in many of the departments. So, people are stretched thin, and they just pile more work on you. Expectations are unrealistic, and the management is too busy to really care about work conditions. There are underhanded, back-stabbing individuals in several departments that go out of their way to undermine you, while smiling in your face and pretending to be your friend. They are getting rid of older workers that have been there a long time by asking them to take this retirement package or move to another department or else, and you have to make the decision on the spot. Upper management is more concerned with getting product out the door, and not worried about the conditions the additional stress of the increased workload is causing. Overall morale is low throughout the company.

OK benefits but not so good salary.

Pros

As an employee you don't have to pay for healthcare (dental included), 401K is matched and life insurance is also covered.

Cons

The pay is not a competitive one for professional employees. If you have a degree and don't work in production you won't be making any money. Base salary is between $42,000 to $45,000 a year for a lab position. Also there are no opportunities to grow professionally. HR is no good, when it comes to benefit knowledge they know nothing, and also if you have a problem with other employees is very hard to get them involved.
