Pay and benefits are fair. Not great, but fair

Cons

The company is very diverse, but upper management is not. Some of the managers/directors/VPs don’t have proper management training and shouldn’t have staff reporting to them. They love to micromanage and make you feel inferior. Not much room for growth, especially when you have to ask for permission from your current manager to apply for open positions in the company. Once they are aware that you are looking into other opportunities and they become spiteful instead of encouraging and understanding. The only way up, is out.

Decent Benefits but every other perk is either not open for all or being taken away by new leadership.

Cons

Work-life balance is basically impossible. Expectations are unreasonable to put it nicely. Training is limited and this company’s structure and model is confusing, inconsistent and outdated so getting up to speed with every nuance is hard yet some expect you to master it quickly or you’re incompetent. Hard workers get more work not rewarded. There’s a conflict of new ideas fighting against old ways. Egos are a huge driver in this organization. People getting promoted because they take credit for others work. Unqualified, unprofessional catty managers. Collaboration doesn’t exist. Seems everyone thrives on others mistakes. Any perk of working at Hill is being taken Avoid this toxic environment.

there are some friendly, passionate people who worked there for a long time certain departments have a better culture than others

Cons

For some departments, people are nice and friendly when they want something you can provide, but very cold and impersonal when they do not deem you valuable. The feeling is that you are constantly being watched and judged behind closed doors
