Nice job at first but when it comes time to move up it won't happen, they hire from outside most often.
Pros
Decent wage 13 an hour to start out for most guest services positions Team member travel program(Comped or very discounted hotel stays) PTO Sit down job, not physically tasking Very little supervision
Cons
-No promoting from within -Communication is severly lacking -No career advancement or growth -Training is once a year, if that. -Ideas from the team are not considered -Raises are once a year and below 40 cents and not for individual performance but a percentage that is companywide -Consequences are few and far between so it's hard to gauge boundaries -Recognition and rewards/awards are rare. -They DO have the quarterly awards where you can win a $500 check but the downside is that you win by votes -Insurance premiums are sky high and then to get charged a lot at the doctors office.. Not the best insurance. I fully intend to find another job and have started looking as this job is for someone who doesn't care to move up within a company. Such as retired people, college students studying for something else etc.
