Keep your head down, do your job, and leave. Choosing not to join the union is absolutely an option, and frankly, it won’t make a difference—they don’t care about you any more than the hotel does. You’ll be hired as full-time but given part-time hours (if that), expected to be available around the clock for nothing in return. The work itself is easy, but the environment is toxic.
