      Good pay, great for on-campus living due to short travel, great managers and senior level management, good work and life balance

      were unable to allow you to work more than 20 hours per week when one could accomplish many more hours than that

      Pros

      One of the upsides to working at Hofstra is the ability to take classes and free tuition. You do get an hour lunch and the campus is beautiful. Also the other people that you work with are for the most part pleasant. You can form some friendships and people are in their roles for long periods of time.

      Cons

      Hofstra is an okay place however, its location is very depressing. Hempstead is dangerous and students are rude. In fact almost everyone in the university is rude. The professors are very competent and have a passion for doing what they do however everyone else is miserable.
