Pros

Underground parking for Managers, most people working there are friendly, IT support is top notch. Great technology in place, and developers really care about success.

Cons

No vacations, forced to work 50-60 hours per pay period including weekends. Salaried employees must clock in and will be written up if 1 min late, even though you work 50+ hours per pay period. Owner and president has gone absent which is good since he openly hates the company and everyone in it. No real management team, pure chaos due to micromanagement by HR and Ops. Promise of 6,9,12 month reviews however they rarely give them on time and you are more likely to get a pay cut rather than a raise. When the owner enters the building, office doors shut and people hide, if you are caught walking or talking to anyone prepare to be berated and written up. Owner is a tyrant and rules be fear, language and screaming is common, punches monitors and smashes keyboards, truly hates everyone and tells everyone through shocking tantrums. Claim "no politics" however it is running rampant. Lowball salaries are a norm with promises of 90 day increase that never happens. Company is slowly shrinking and will die as they loose customers and virtually no sales staff.

Pros

Pay was fairly decent. The medical benefits were ok too.

Cons

1) One minute late and you are in trouble 2) Must get approval to take your lunch and breaks (even salaried employees) 3) You cannot take breaks the same time as your friends because that's considered lost productivity. 4) CEO screams and yells at everyone and demoralizes you in front of others ( and this is an understatement) 5) You make a slight mistake and you get ripped a new one 6) Work environment is horrible. 7) Top management is extremely arrogant. 8) You get written up for the slightest little thing- such as have a personal conversation with someone in passing. (It's considered using your time to do something besides work). 9) You are expected to work, work, and work. There is no family life. You will not have time for your kids. 10) Nobody is treated respectfully. This is the simplified list.

Pros

Decent pay, some great co-workers, almost zero commute time for me. As long as you're not in management, you keep your head down and your opinions to yourself, you'll be mostly fine... (see Cons)

Cons

Hostile work environment due to a chauvinistic CEO. You will often here him swearing at and demoralizing his managers at the top of his lungs behind closed doors... yet, you can here it at the other end of the building. He will also kick and throw trash cans and slam keyboards on the table. No one dares to challenge or stand up to him because they don't want to lose their jobs. Salary workers must clock in/out (including lunches) along with the hourly workers and are subject to the same rules and restrictions as them... 1 minute late results in a daily email to the CEO with the names of those people (hourly and salary) along with a note in your employee file in HR. Salary workers are also expected to work the majority of federal holidays. You will be lucky to get Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years day off as a salary worker... "Project Deadlines" seem to always magically happen at year end and..."all salary exempt workers are required to move the company forward.." (Those of you who work/worked there will get this quote!) Employee turnover is non-stop. You will see new faces (and not see old faces) every single week. I am so glad I was able to find a better job and move on with my life. Even though I value the experience and friends gained here, I am relieved that this chapter of my career is behind me.
