Pros

Hologic has good benefits, is a solid company and has been very busy in San Diego lately. Coworkers are nice and want to do a good job.

Cons

It doesn't feel like managements is concerned with employee safety. They are in process of changing to new cubicles. They are small and 4 feet high instead of the old 6 feet which offered some separation from others. There always seems to be someone standing at the next cubicle talking much closer than 6 feet. We are allowed to have mask off in our cube but it's just not safe. I feel very nervous in this situation because there is no barrier. Seems odd to be installing them right now. Women health company with a lot more men promoted into management positions than women.

Pros

Good at first. I’m my department it involves a lot of training and travel. After settling into the position it soon started to unravel. Decent pay and benefits. Icahn made some $$$

Cons

Large turnover. Company began the top heavy approach and micro management set in with sub par software and systems. Input was criticized and the turn over added to many problems. Parts support always had a problem supplying parts and those they did often didn’t work and the bugs that came with software upgrades along with the time commitment was just as bad. The company went marketing centric and never quite got “what” they were gonna market. Tag lines don’t increase customer “up” time. HR is there for the company so beware saying anything. And they doubled down on a “culture” that just goes with the job title. Culture = hours in the morning and after work where you’re still working and not compensated. Again, HR (Crickets). I’m sure over the years that’s millions, but it’s about commitment..... right. (This is where your guilt is suppose to kick in because you’re greedy and just don’t get it. You’re just not committed) As some reviewed not much if any upward mobility/promotion. Pay increasing went from 3% to 2 to 1. Tried to give advice, opinion and even solutions, but they are not interested. Just watch putting your fingers in the suggestion box as an employee. You may be a finger light when the lid slams shut. Several allowed to game the system and put it off on others while they sit back and coast or do something else with the family. But don’t take my word for it. Hire on and experience it for yourself.
