      Incompetent Quality Leadership

      Pros

      Colleagues are very nice and helpful. Individual contributors generally want to do whats right and will try their best.

      Cons

      Quality Leadership expectations are very demanding providing the company very little value and is usually based on fear of losing their own jobs. The leadership team are carryovers from the old Gen-Probe days so they were given management and director roles based on time served and not on actual skill. Overall the leadership team are in it for theirs and offer very little support, growth or pay to their employees who do 95% of the work.

      Lots of change creates lack of focus

      Pros

      Great benefits, competitive pay, real talent within the company.

      Cons

      Executive management has been floundering a while. With all the sales and acquisitions, Hologic is having a hard time finding it's focus and loses great talent in the process. Reporting structures are confusing and priorities change constantly. The last wave of senior management and execs lack the knowledge of the business or the desire to learn. There's no interest in utilizing the resources that already exist and assumptions made about what's being done result in the most talented individuals seeking other opportunities.

      Completely different experience than was told

      Pros

      The only good thing I can think of is that financials are going in right direction but most of senior (long term) employees are so full of themselves.

      Cons

      - Complete disconnect between peers (specially between new comers and long term old employees) - non accommodating attitude towards employees. - Senior peers are reluctant to new technologies/ suggestions and want impose their WoW. - No work life balance
