Pros

My store manager was a solid manager and person.

Cons

- only a 10% discount - employees can't hold items to purchase later - pay was $12 for associates/ $14 for key carrier - couldn't get insurance until working there two months - HR Express has bad phone hours/difficult to reach - totally messed up my insurance/paycheck and refused to correct it in a timely manner - if the store is a combo (HomeGoods and Marshalls was mine) the policies for employees and store are different and yowza does that create a wild amount of confusion - clock in and out system is so annoying and it's difficult to review - no Wifi in the whole building - no consistency in policies - no one cleans the kitchen/break room - radio system is annoying (people yell in it, don't use it) - as a key carrier, couldn't readily get keys when I needed too

Pros

I love the people I work with. I’m a visual merchandiser so I love the freedom when it comes to creating beautiful features. We get some amazing products in our store and I love to see how excited the customers are when shopping in our store.

Cons

The workload can be intense with the amount of product we get weekly but I love the challenge.

Pros

Merchandising! It’s different from every other box retailer, making it fun. It’s something different every day. The people culture. TJX Companies treat their associates very well: 45min break (8hr shift), paid 15min for every 4 hrs worked, snacks, free food, gift card give always from different programs.

Cons

Throw out your weekends and your family life. They expect you to work weekends and your schedule is never consistent so you aren’t able to have the “work life balance” that they preach.
