Pros

I was surprised the first time that I received a bonus from HomeGoods, anticipating that a part-time role would not receive additional incentives. They really care about their employees, however, and I received not one but four bonuses in the 10 months I was there.

Cons

No place is perfect, and HomeGoods is no exception. I was sometimes asked to make exceptions to company policy in order to satisfy a customer, which never sat right with me.

Pros

Tasks do not take long to learn and most HomeGoods locations are rather small. Extremely flexible schedule.

Cons

Employees are usually very gossip heavy, management usually joins in. Usually short staffed and rushes can be troublesome, especially when you have to beg every customer for a credit card before every purchase. Pushing for credit card applications in mandatory and there is 0 incentive to do so unless management feels nice enough to give me a candy bar. Not a joke, by the way! Pay is also much lower than surrounding stores.
