Pros

Everybody at Homes.com is extremely supportive and always there to help! It is truly a family atmosphere and everyone wants you to succeed. They provide you with TOP NOTCH training and are always willing to help! Even with the pandemic they have found great ways to continue supporting everyone and offer advanced training that sets you up for success. I'm so thankful for the Homes.com community!

Cons

No cons so far. We are currently working from home (which is great) but once the office opens back up I'm sure San Diego traffic will become a Con for me.

Thanks for this 5-star-review! Since your review was posted, we've made the decision to permanently shift to a work from home environment for our San Diego employees. This move was very well-received by our team there. We'll need to continue working together to ensure productivity, motivation and culture remain top-notch. And, yes, Dre and Erin are incredible:). Thanks again!

Pros

Friendly coworkers and management. Flexible work environment. Lots of incentives and they definitely take care of their employees. Good benefits and pay. Healthy work atmosphere,

Cons

Hustle to get Agents to stay on the phone and call you back. If you don't like being on the phone all day long this job isn't for you. High Stress to make sales and keep clients from canceling.

Thanks for this feedback. It's true, inside sales is all about reaching professionals by phone, email, text and other remote channels of communication. I'm sorry this wasn't the right fit for you, but I appreciate the feedback on the pros. Best wishes to you!

Pros

Homes.com is a pretty great place to work at from the devops or software side(I can't speak for sales or any other dept). Senior management is awesome and are what make this place work a lot of the times. You will learn a ton working tech at Homes.com and get to use all of the latest cutting edge enterprise and open source softwares. If you are a sysadmin or devops engineer with both Linux and code literacy - you will have an absolute field day here. If you are the type of employee who isn't results focused, or are someone who requires being micromanaged - this is not the position for you. Linux and dev teams are a great bunch of folks that I would recommend working with. Everyone is really easy to work with. Homes.com is an incredibly diverse company(great job here, guys!). Salaries are about on par with what comparable tech jobs pay in Hampton Roads.

Cons

- Lack of communication between departments sometimes causes friction( this can cause certain departments to become almost cliques in some situations) - Limited advancement in most departments. This is a weird one to list but I'll have to put it as it's one of the only reasons I ultimately decided to leave this position. Team sizes and the company size is probably the biggest contributing factor to this. - Pay is a little low compared to industry. This is another main reason why people leave homes.com ,self included. A little increase would go a really long way with your employees who stick around for sometime. Most real talent leaves homes due to compensation reasons. Not a whole lot of cons.
