Good People, Poor Tech

Pros

- People are smart, conscientious, and definitely care about how the product will affect the clients and platform users. - Fully remote work in product org - Middling pay, benefits - Some signs of interest in bringing tech into the modern age

Cons

- This is not a tech platform for home care, this is a home care business with a tech platform tool. From an engineering perspective, that means you are more like a construction worker than an architect. Think waterfall planning, managers assigning work, and years of tech debt from product running over engineering. - All that tech debt means things get done through "work harder, not smarter" grind rather than innovation or adoption of new tech. It seems like there may be some desire to change this in the leadership ranks, but the leash is still pretty tight with deadlines and checklists.

Pros

Helping elderly people in need

Cons

No work life balance, biased management, leadership cliques, appalling representation of leadership outside of the workplace, leadership places you in situations they don't want to handle, people come into work sick because they required to work 40 hours a week(PTO policy), no process improvement, no growth opportunities, CALL CENTER WITH TERRIBLE POLICIES

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Honor is certainly growing which can result in some challenging times. However, we often encourage employees to take time off to help recharge and/or recover if they aren't feeling their best. We are currently working on more comprehensive career pathing and development resources for the team. Your manager and leadership team are always open to speaking with you directly about your concerns. As added support, your HR partner is always available to you as well. We are constantly looking to improve and feedback is very much welcome. Thank you again for sharing your feedback.

Pros

- amazing team: everyone is incredibly sharp, motivated, and care about their coworkers - focus on major societal challenge: the work itself is really challenging and through provoking. Love that I get to work on something meaningful every day - fast growth: it's been really motivating to work at a growing company. There's a lot of energy that makes the day-to-day fun - open minded leadership: because the company is growing, not everything is perfect; however leadership is really open to feedback and your perspective on how to improve the company

Cons

- internal organization is fluid: while it's a pro that we are fast growing, that means that some of the organization is changing a lot. This ambiguity can be challenging at times, but is part of being at a start-up - there's more work than time in the day: I've found it hard to regulate my own time because there is so much to do and there's risk of burn out. I've found a balance that is working for me now, but it's been hard figuring out how to prioritize some projects and what to push back on for timelines because the space is dynamic right now and our strategy is continuously being refined
