Pros

Catered food & co-workers are cool. Use to have nice get togethers but those days are long gone.

Cons

Management, Management, Management. Transparency is non-existent. This company places managers in positions they have no business being in. There is no team-work with management. All there is are just orders given behind a computer. RGM for the company was totally inept and incapable of conducting their job. Definitely was a culture of blame under RGM's leadership. There is no training for certain roles, so good luck getting prepared once you begin your job. The best thing to do is ask as many questions from people as possible. There is completely no direction. This job also has potential to take a way all your creativity and have you wonder why exactly you got into the field in the first place. Don't be a sucker at all. You deserve better than to be mislead.

We appreciate your feedback. We agree that our employees are critical in making our mission possible. We have prided ourselves on creating paths for growth and opportunities for employees to move into leadership roles, but also recognize that we can provide more support and coaching to help new managers be successful. This is an area of focus for us in 2020. We also work really hard at transparency through encouraging conversations with managers, HR, mentors, and/or senior execs, frequent town halls, an anonymous feedback tool, and periodic leadership meetings.

Pros

Mission: I'm at Honor because of our mission: better care, together. Better care together is a nice three word phrase, but is also incredibly difficult, specifically in this unprecedented time. However, I feel that in our small corner of the (homecare) world that we really are making a difference, for the better, in our partners, clients, and carepro’s lives. The task at hand is messy, chaotic, often painful, & not easy. It rarely just works out without some complex problem solving, but I have no doubt that this quest to provide better care is worth the effort. Colleagues: I have never consistently worked with such smart and caring colleagues who not only help with complex work problems, but also have my back as a person. Honor hires people with interesting backgrounds who are empathetic and kind. They make weathering these storms worth the while.

Cons

This is not a 9-5 job. The topics and issues we work with are challenging and often emotionally intense. If you do not already have a strong foundation of self care (and even if you do!)- this will place will push you to your limits. Perspective is everything, and it can be easy to lose that when you’re working with very specific details.

We are grateful for your review! Better care together is an anchor for us, and we are so proud of the difference we're making in the lives of our clients and their families. It is hard work, and we're thankful for our team who is responsive, tackling issues with empathy and energy, and also making time to work together as a team. We appreciate your encouragement to continue our efforts to manage change more gracefully and with transparency and trust.
