No Pay increases since 2015

Pros

Flexible schedule, great coworkers.

Cons

Once you have maxed out your pay scale, you will not see a pay increase. We have not had raises since 2015 when the payscale increased. However, hosptial administrator making six+-figures. Recently, patients all received i-pads in their rooms to be able to better manage their care. Staff also received a voice recorded card from hosptial administrator for new hospital ambassador movement program. All staff stated, they would rather have received a raise rather than the card that ended up in the garbage. In our department we seem to go from low staffing to overstaffing. When overstaffed, management not fair in canceling people equally. Some staff get full 8-10 hours while others get 2-4.

Pros

Used to be a great place to work. Good clinicians.

Cons

Terrible management and human resources. Example: a new director was hired and within a couple of months of her hiring (weeks actually) several people had complained bout her lack of knowledge, condescending attitude and extremely poor management style. This included two employees she brought with her from a prior job. No one in the department had anything good to say about her in a meeting with human resources and instead of replacing her they gave her two more hospitals and more staff to supervise! Makes no sense but is indicative of the overall lack of concern over employees and inexperienced, unqualified leadership.

Pros

When I had it, complete autonomy to do my job. I had great co-workers.

Cons

Too many egos, managers that have no idea what they are doing. No interest in learning the jobs of their employees. Manager pile on work to overload the employee then write them up for making mistakes or not being productive then fire them. They lose good people all the time because their management is unskilled and runs on the "good ole boy" system.
