Pros

The children are wonderful, and anyone who suggests otherwise may not be well suited for this role. The organization offers flexibility, making it relatively easy to take time off as there is adequate staffing to provide coverage. Compensation is competitive within the field, and they cover the costs of RBT certification, CPR training, and fingerprint clearance. Additionally, the benefits package is decent.

Cons

The work environment can feel similar to a high school setting, with frequent interpersonal drama and a noticeable lack of professionalism. Training is largely self-directed, despite the presence of a designated trainer who is often unavailable. Hiring practices appear to be broad, which can result in reduced hours due to staff overcapacity. Additionally, communication regarding scheduling and patient assignments is often provided on short notice. Employees typically receive one 15 minute break, yet often work up to nine hour days when fully scheduled, which can contribute to fatigue and an increased risk of burnout.
