Pros

Most of the people are great to work with. Travel and medical benefits are great with a very flexible schedule if you can get a trade. Bonus pay is great. Job security. As long as you show up on time you will have a job for the most part.

Cons

As far as the job the pay is really to low for what you do. Raises are based on time served not performance or qualifications. A lot of drama. Management seems to play favorites on stuff. More often then not what they consider proper staffing is under staffed and then people call in sick.

Pros

Union style benefits and pay without having unions (for CSAs) Management works hard to show appreciation for it's frontline. Pay is on the high end for job class (CSA) Advancement opportunities abound within the Alaska Air Group Horizon believes promotions from within and helps build your career. The people love their jobs and they spread their love to our customers, who in turn create a positive work environment. Wonderful performance based incentives and profit sharing.

Cons

Working on very tight budgets create obstacles in the workplace. Some positions under paid for job output. Long hours in rough conditions can be cumbersome for unexpecting new hires.

Many truly dedicated employees, that continue to put the customer first despite upper management's lack of foresight and unwillingness to consider anything but the bottom line.

Cons

Non-management employees are treated like Kleenex...used up and tossed aside.
