Pros

Feels like family, very sincere in this statement. Benefits are awesome, especially if you have time to use them on days off. Just returned from 20 days in Europe and flew delta over for $80. Brand refresh and on boarding of new aircraft means horizon has a bright future.

Cons

Flight attendant pay really is sad. You can always pick up extra trips or promote the Alaska credit card to make ends meet. I'm hopeful our next contract negotiation will put us more in line with the pay scales of mainline Alaska.

Pros

Met a lot of really great people and lived in a cool city but I can not think of anything other than that.

Cons

Long hours for low low low pay!! They only pay when the doors are closed so all the time you spend greeting passengers with a big ol' smile is volunteer work. The "flight benefits" are horrible for your friends and family. If you want to fly a friend out to you then it's nearly impossible for them to get on a flight. Too much stress for the possibility of getting on a flight. Avoid the stress and buy a plane ticket. Plane tickets are becoming so cheap that there is no reason to get a job as a flight attendant just for the travel perks.

The benefits were great; destinations were fun and while salary wasn't high, the perks of travel and a future retirement fund made it worthwhile.

Cons

Supervisors were out of touch with the flight attendants. Too much gossip and a lot of complaining among the pilots and FAs about pay and work hours.
