Sure liked the people I worked with in very difficult circumstances.

Cons

lots of problems if you are in an institution that is acquired. Have to wonder why you buy other banks if you aren't going to let them operate in the manner that made them successful loan process is cumbersome, time consuming, and ineffective. Better get EVERYTHING right or you will be thrown under the bus in a very public manner Also, make sure you understand everything about the compensation plan. the incentive plan has a few markers that can throw your entire bonus away. i.e. if you exceed in every category but one and miss your target in that single category you lose your entire incentive bonus. Makes it difficult to feel part of a team when you are individually under such pressure
