Really friendly people at this this growing company. I feel there is opportunity to learn and grow with the company. My colleagues at other properties seem very happy. I worked for a small hotel management company years ago that didn't survive. I believe their partnership with Oasis is one reason HVMG have been successful. I also think their partnership with Hospitalityjobsonline.com is good and hope they do use Glassdoor.com too. This company really makes an effort to identify the right person for the job. So far I've been offered a lot of training and believe if I need something, just ask. I'm impressed some of the nice things I've already seen the company do for their associates (e.g. monthly lunch and recognition, Best of the Best dinner, birthday cards, Summer Associates Party, discounted employee meals at our property, etc.). I have a friendly, experienced GM with a great personality who is very supportive of his team. We're very driven to get even more positive guest scores.

Cons

Benefit costs need to be more affordable and one would hope as a larger employer, that will happen. An internal compensation study would be interesting though regions pay different.

HVMG is a company that truly cares about their associates and wants them to LOVE their work! As General Manager, I am "CEO" of my hotel and I have full authority to make the decisions I need to make for the best interests of my hotel and my associates, and I have full support from HVMG Corporate!

Cons

As a relatively small, growing management company, HVMG is going through a lot of changes (most of them for the better!) But, as seasoned hospitality professionals, we should be ready to embrace change and ensure that we have the best products and services for today's guests!

Oh tons.. and it sucks... I wasted my time working for these bunch of BS people.. and liars... All they want to do is suck your blood to the core and then suck it more until you are done and then you leave.. They are the best at cutting cost by sucking your blood. Bad Company to work for.. the upper management are the ones making money and they come to new properties and send people home..they have no clue what so ever how to run the business; all they want is to make money by making employees and managers work like robot. They really suck. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM. I hear they just bought hilton suites in phx and already ton of people got fired.. and more to come... their usual practice
