Really friendly people at this this growing company. I feel there is opportunity to learn and grow with the company. My colleagues at other properties seem very happy. I worked for a small hotel management company years ago that didn't survive. I believe their partnership with Oasis is one reason HVMG have been successful. I also think their partnership with Hospitalityjobsonline.com is good and hope they do use Glassdoor.com too. This company really makes an effort to identify the right person for the job. So far I've been offered a lot of training and believe if I need something, just ask. I'm impressed some of the nice things I've already seen the company do for their associates (e.g. monthly lunch and recognition, Best of the Best dinner, birthday cards, Summer Associates Party, discounted employee meals at our property, etc.). I have a friendly, experienced GM with a great personality who is very supportive of his team. We're very driven to get even more positive guest scores.

Cons

Benefit costs need to be more affordable and one would hope as a larger employer, that will happen. An internal compensation study would be interesting though regions pay different.

Great people to work for. Nice benefits package. Autonomy to make decisions. Great leadership. Love the culture of Excellence! They make it fun.

Cons

A strong push to achieve results. If you can;t take a fast pace and being held accountable this is not the company for you.

The Regional Executive Team at the Corporate Level is second to none. Although my employment was short term due to a career move. The Senior Executive Team from the Corporate office was supportive, encouraging and flexible.

Cons

Have Hotel and home based revenue managers in the same time zones.
