      Pros

      The only thing I like about HISD is that there’s multiple hiring fairs to give folks a chance to find a job.

      Cons

      There’s a lot of inconsistencies within HISD. One minute they want low graded schools to follow a NES model with limited resources. And now they are saying they want even the high performing school to follow the model. Which is complete B.S. Also, their goal is for staff to work 10 hour shift with the same pay.

      Pros

      Hogg has a really involved PTA and parents that will volunteer to help out with many things. Hogg is still a non NEA school and has a little more freedom with how things are done after the district takeover. Admin is generally organized, hardworking, and supportive. Overall, Hogg has a positive culture.

      Cons

      The whole district take-over thing is a bit rough and has a lot of top down mandates and many schools are really struggling and may need that but the things they are looking for are really
