-There can be really long hours -Some students are very challenging -There can be a lot of red tape

It was good as something to start off your experience in.

Pros

You have the weekends off and great flexibility. You get good benefits if you work there full time. You work in a relaxed environment.

Cons

The opportunities to have an opening position in the companies are not that great. Since it is a government job, they just can't create an opening as a corporation or firm can. For a job opening in the administration department, you have to have had: retiree, layoff, termination, etc for there to be an open position.

Short hours, many days off. Given that, the pay seemed high. It feels good to help out kids. It was definitely an experience.
