This district is heavily worksheet based and emphasizes STAAR prep over real learning. Professional development is weak- limited to the two weeks before school starts. Pretty much every educator agrees that this is about the worse time to try to train teachers.

The work is challenging. Additionally, the workplace dynamic is changing rapidly and there is a great deal of uncertainty. There isn't a solid culture and most employees are mistrustful of newcomers. It can be hard to find your place in such a large company and many people are more interested in self-preservation than they are in what's best for students.
