And the cons... it really was great until it wasn't. They started to micro-manage units and our daily schedule. To "put the customer first". It wasn't annoying at first, but you move on. Slowly things started to change, pressure began to come along slowly. Last year we were assured that there will not be a layoff in the near future. By then the environment was still slowly changing. We started to lose more tenured representatives. 2023 happens and there is a layoff, it was terrible. Everyone got an email stating that were will be layoffs. and by a specific time, you will get an email stating if you have been let go to not. The amount of anxiety that induced. Worrying about yourself, co-workers, and their families. Who will you see again... Between the meeting stating why they laid people off. Hubspots first lay off I must add. It was terrible, those who were affected had until the end of their shift to wrap up everything they have know at Hubspot. We all agreed that things have changed after that day. It completely broke any trust or respect that was left. Most teams can say they have lost a team member or know someone who has resigned since. It feels like every other week someone is gone. The workload and micro-management have gotten so much more difficult. There are not enough representatives to cover shifts. We have a Personal Development which cannot be used because you are so focused on the rest of the work. In addition to this, there is not much, if any accommodation for "invisible" disabilities such as ADHD. You cannot get any flexibility with Hour adherence which they have really been pushing. You can't get any flexibility on that even if you hit your metrics and above. This job can work great for those on the spectrum with the level of stricter the job follows. But if you are on the other end, it's immensely stressful to manage. Other Medical accommodations are kind of in the same boat. They pretty much view it as either being a right fit for the job or not... It's just disappointing how Hubspot was previously, it feels like the core values have changed. We're just numbers now. If I didn't expect this, it would be easier. But it's because it was truly really good, now to see how it's turned out. We can't control the economy, we need to keep the company funded to provide jobs. But we do not need to manage it this way. I only recommend it if you are someone who can work and do mind a difficult work-life balance. Or if you absolutely need a job with benefits.
