Thanks so much for your review and for helping our services team grow and our customers thrive. I'm not in the loop on some of these issues you've highlighted with regard to sales in particular, so I will add it to my list to discuss with Alison given her new role and help work with sales to address it. On product, I have to say, I've been floored by the product's team focus here and some of the plans they have for the year ahead, so I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised by their focus there in the year to come. Thanks for your review and for your work here, I sincerely appreciate it! -Katie

Pros

It's a nice office space, with some really great people. Most are excited to be there and there is opportunity to advance your career if you're willing to put in the hours

Cons

I had a hard time making HubSpot my whole life. I felt like I had to in order to be accepted by my coworkers. Work life balance is not working from 8 - 5, and then telling your team that it's family time from 5:30 - 7:30, but then you're available. When you have managers saying these things, it puts too much pressure on employees to be just as readily available, 24/7.

Thanks for spending some time with us at HubSpot, delighted you did. Sorry to hear that you felt pressure around work-life balance--one of our goals is to be a destination for working parents, so hopefully we have improved since you left, but we can always continue to learn and grow there--thanks for the feedback and the review, and for being a HubSpot alum. Sincerely, Katie

Pros

HubSpot was a window into a workplace you can actually enjoy. The employees are intelligent and fun. You have access to a snack area, beer fridge, ping pong table, games, hammocks, etc., and you learn a LOT while you're on the job. Despite the Cons listed below, this is still a really great place to work.

Cons

Into salary is on the lower end of the scale (but by no means is it unlivable or far below average). With enough rear-kissing, you can move up, even if you're not qualified. If you're exceptionally talented, you can move up. Once you've worked here, you have the skills to be successful and desirable/attractive to other companies who will gladly hire you and at a hire salary than you made at HubSpot.
