Pros

Remote flexibility Stock performance interview is easy

Cons

Having worked at both FAANG and startups before, I can confidently say that HS has the worst environment. Self-righteous TLs: They seem more interested in bluffing and showing off in public channels rather than genuinely leading. Their careless jokes often create extra work for ICs and change the original plan/agreement, but they don’t seem to care. Toxic culture: Instead of fostering collaboration, the workplace feels like a "Squid Game" competition where people undermine rather than support each other. Cold-blooded management: The lack of empathy from leadership makes everything worse, reinforcing the cutthroat culture. Not Inclusive: prefer not to say details but be careful

Pros

Pay, benefits, flexible WFH, perks

Cons

Everything else. Toxic tenure culture, you either were here before COVID and get treated like a king, or treated like a freak of nature. Leadership is so removed and so micro-managing at the same time, PLTs are a waste of time, makes no sense, let people work without your bs opinions

Pros

Commission - the only reason people are here is for the money. It's the epitome of the Golden Handcuffs.

Cons

Little time to sell because of back-to-back internal meetings every day. Having a family AND being successful here is not possible. You must let one of these options go because in order to meet quota, you will need to work 12 hours per day. Poor health benefits. Poor morale - is anyone happy here anymore? Working with so many people who hate their job is toxic and feels awful. Monthly quotas rather than quarterly.
